Ivy

At 11pm last night we had the chance to go in and see Ivy in the NICU. We only had a couple of minutes because they were continuing to do things for her (like x-rays, placing lines, etc) but they said she was doing better than expected and her stats looked good.

We went back to my room and got about an hour of sleep before we were woken up and asked to give consent because they needed to give Ivy a blood transfusion. We obviously knew this couldn't be a very good sign but blood transfusions were also something that we were warned Ivy might need, so we didn't necessarily think things were overly urgent.

A little while later the nurse came to tell us that NICU wanted us to come over to see Ivy. We immediately saw a whole team of staff working on Ivy and they told us that her levels were super low and they didn't think they could get them back up. After only a short time, she passed away.

We are completely heartbroken to have to say goodbye to our sweet girl after such a short time of having her. Our only hope is that we will see her again one day and that our God is still good.

Thank you for your prayers.
