On Monday I had an ultrasound and check-up. At these
appointments they don’t measure the lung growth any more, since that wouldn’t
really change the plan at this point. They are mainly looking to make sure baby
is still growing and moving well and that my placenta looks good. The baby is
still on the smaller end, but she is growing on her own curve which is good.
The doctor said that the baby’s size measurements could be a bit “off”. This is
because a lot of the size measurement has to do with the size of baby’s
abdomen. And in our case, her abdomen is smaller since all of her organs are up
in her chest. Anyways, all this to say that she might not be quite as small as
the measurements show.
A highlight during this craziness is getting to see our
baby on ultrasound and have new little pictures to look at. This time we heard
(again) that baby girl has hair already - so fun. We can’t wait to meet our
little girl but at the same time are happy she’s safe inside for now. I am almost 32 weeks now, and we will have baby at ~38 weeks (middle of January) so feels like we are getting close now!
Thank you for these updates. I think of you so often and we are praying for your baby girl's development and for the two of you. It's great that you have experienced professionals who are comfortable dealing with this condition, and that there is a plan in place. That must be reassuring. Love you so much - hugging you from afar. ~Jo
